Tea money

VOLUNTARY CONTRIBUTIONS (ONCE KNOWN AS TEA MONEY)

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all in Upper North Region.

It has been a very challenging year and your committee has done its best to provide
courses of interest in various formats under very difficult circumstances.
Our thanks to all those who have conducted or assisted with courses and venues.
Our finances and those of Head Office are somewhat better than expected as
outgoings are under budget. We thank you for your support and in some cases
donations.
I wish to outline our thinking on VOLUNTARY CONTRIBUTIONS which we have
previously referred to as TEA MONEY. This what we propose for 2021.
 For Face to Face classes, members are requested to make a voluntary
donation of $2 per session. When conditions permit, tea and biscuits costs
will be paid from this fund.
 Where classes prefer not to deal with coins each session, a lump sum may
be collected, e.g. 10 sessions = $20, 16 sessions = $32 etc.
 The surplus funds should be sent to the treasurer (Jane Cooper on jccu3a@gmail.com) or secretary (Marilyn Pryor on 0414 493 415) EACH SEMESTER, designed to cover:
 Cost of venue hire and catering for events including the AGM and Showcase
for New Members.
 Cost of the Course Leaders’ Lunch to show our appreciation.

A GIFT?
Some classes like to give a gift to a weekly course
leader for a whole semester or year. This may be a bottle, a plant, a voucher,
a book etc.
This should be done separately from the above.
We appreciate your support and encourage you to think about joining our
committee to help run this fine organisation.
Keep safe.
