 About Our Courses and Activities

  • Sydney u3a comprises seven regions covering the greater Sydney metropolitan area. More about regions…
  • Members can attend any course in any of the seven regions
  • Volunteers lead and administer the courses and talks
  • A wide range of topics is covered – from learning foreign languages to table tennis to history to book/movie clubs to philosophy to science related issues. There’s something for everyone!
  • Courses are held in a variety of local venues and via Zoom
  • Events, visits, tours and social activities are also offered
  • Full details of activities are listed each semester in the Course Book and on individual regional pages
  • From time to time there are changes to course details after publication of the Course Book. Please keep checking your region’s website or the website home page for updates.

 Booking a Course

Not every course needs to be booked – if you do have to book, this is how to do it:

  • Search, view, download or print the current Course Book
  • Each course will give the name and contact details of a booking secretary. Alternatively, you may be able to book online – click here to book through MyU3A.  Please note, you are leaving the website to go to the booking system.
  • Some courses have a maximum number of attendees (eg max 25)
  • When booking, provide your name, membership number, membership expiry date and phone number.
  • If you are not already a member you may make a booking and attend up to two sessions before joining. Read more about membership…
  • If you find you are unable to attend a booked course, please notify the booking secretary or cancel online as often there is a waiting list.

If you have difficulty making a booking, please contact the regional venue coordinator or the regional course coordinator.
