Despite, the very hot weather, a record number of over 90 people attended the recent Upper North AGM which was held at Turramurra Uniting Church on the 6th February.

Lecturers from various disciplines spoke about the courses they are running in 2017. After the talks, the audience mingled with Upper North committee members and group leaders whilst refreshments were served. 20 new members joined on the day.

Speakers included:

Howard Ferrer who spoke about his course on popular music from the 1920s to the Rock and Roll era, Stewart Reed discussed his courses on the history of the Art Gallery of NSW and the life of May Gibbs, Sandra Sadler, will be running a course ‘fun problem solving to keep our minds active’ this semester and Phil  Pryor who entertained the audience with his views on teaching history
